Oh gosh I don't know where to start. Um um um let's see, I guess I owe JKR many baskets of mini-muffins, although Dumbledore somehow became infinitely cooler in HBP than previous books, which is making feel me bad. Crap. I never thought he was actually going to die up until the second he fell down dead. Crap, crap, crap. I don't think I've come to terms with it yet. And Snape, OMG, maybe I'm too naive and maybe I've fallen too far into my Snape-love, but seriously, I still don't think he's evil or wholeheartedly on the dark side. He cannot be evil damnit! *bursts into tears* Ugh, I pretty much glossed through the last chapter about Dumbledore's funeral because I was still so caught up with the Snape business and trying to make excuses for him and whatnot. SNAPE IS NOT EVIL! HE HAD HIS REASONS! YES HE DID! *nods*
What else, what else...about all the shippage. R/Hr - as much as I hate this ship, and I still do, more than ever after HBP, we kind of all saw it coming, and it didn't really materialize as more than a couple of jealous glances, which has existed since GoF anyway, so I didn't really mind that much. And can you say run-on sentence? H/G - I've read a couple of H/G hate from my F-list, and I agree to an extent that it came from nowhere. Wow I was completely off the mark with my H/L theory, but I'm not exactly sad about it. I've always been more or less an H/G shipper at heart; it was the very first pairing I shipped after all. So yay? Sort of. R/T - I've always hated this because I thought the R/T shippers were all crazy and over-analyzing and were just randomly sticking two characters together (their only evidence was that Remus and Tonks carried a trunk together for god's sake). Oh gee, who would have thought? God, halfway through the book, I was thinking about how random and pointless Sirius/Tonks was. This is so much worse, if for nothing else than that R/T actually was a relatively popular ship.
Favorite part has got to be Spinner's End. It's like the fanfic we all wished was canon. It really is. Seeing the story from the other side and all that good stuff. Loved the Bellatrix-Narcissa-Snape (who is not evil) interaction. The same goes for Draco. Yay for Draco getting more developed, and yay for Draco being sort of how we imagined and wanted him to be (us L&L-ers at least). See, Draco is not evil (and neither is Snape! *glare*), however much he wants to be.
The Half Blood Prince thing turned out to be pretty lame. I briefly wondered if it was Snape (who is not evil) at the beginning, but after they revealed that the book was published fifty years ago, I thought it was Voldemort until the end. Besides, I always thought Snape (who is not evil) was pureblood. Ugh, Snape (who is not evil) calling himself the Half Blood Prince when he was a teenager is almost as bad as Riddle calling himself Lord Voldemort. Where do they come up with these things?
And wow, props to Harry for coping so well with Sirius's death. No caps-lock or angsty depression or anything. He also became infinitely cooler in this book. Oh speaking of Harry, GnH must be having a field day with Harry being obsessed with Malfoy and can't stop thinking about him and all that beautiful slashy goodness. Not that we can't have our own field day. Even though D/Hr is pretty limited, Draco did turn out the way we wanted him to, didn't he? The Draco trying to kill Dumbledore part is another one of those surreal moments when I feel like I'm reading a fanfic.
And finally, props to you if you actually managed to decipher the previous chunks of general incoherency. I need sleep.
Oh, P.S., Snape is not evil.

And hurrah for Draco! Even Albus admitted that the Wardrobe plan was clever. And Draco fixed it himself, showing that he's not totally incompetent!
Yay for NON-EVIL Severus and Draco!!1!

We also never believed Dumbledore would die... we always liked the guy, he was just so.. well, everyone learned from him.
We guessed Snape was the HBP... like you, we had our doubts when the book was fifty years old, though. It is kind of corny, the book's all about the half blood prince, but he wasn't really that important.
Too many pairings for our taste... we think JKR's been reading fanfiction.
And you don't think Snape's evil? We're torn up about this, obviously. Snape could have killed Dumbledore to protect Draco, but isn't the consequence of not fulfilling the Unbreakable Vow death? So Snape, if he was good, should have preferred to die rather than kill Dumbledore...
We hate snape... He tricked us, all this time, all these years...
The book was great, though, hehe. :D
Our favorite characters are normally Hermione and Ron, but... they didn't act nice at all in this book. Harry was much better.
And we've been thinking exactly the same thing as you, the GnHers must be jumping up and down, Harry was so obsessed with Malfoy...

Admittedly, that's largely because Snape has been my favorite character and him turning evil is just...think about how you would feel if Dumbledore suddently turned evil; that's what I feel right now: a lot of denial and the impulse to justify Snape's actions.
we think JKR's been reading fanfiction.
Haha she obviously hadn't been reading that good ones.

R/Hr...ugh, though hated, not unexpected. H/G I did see coming, if only because Ginny's character has been more prominent than the earlier books (except the end of CoS, obviously). Plus, I ship H/G, R/T, and B/F so it's all good.
YAY FOR DRACO! Not evil, manipulated and immature.
